Gone Fishin'

While we were at my sisters house last week the girls got to try their luck at fishing. They were so excited and could not wait.
Lindy & Uncle Jeff

Aunt Donna & Molly

Neither one of them would touch the worm!

Of course I think it was the hottest day of the year!

I love this photo!

Molly getting a bite!

Molly with her first ever fish! She wouldn't touch it tho!

Lindy! Reel it in!

But it's hard! It's a big one!

Use your muscles!!!!

Finally! ......... "Yuck!!"

About had enough.

Packed up ready to head to the house.

Last photo of the day.

We had a good time. I was glad they both caught a fish. It was just too hot for us to enjoy. But I'm sure we'll try it again. Donna & Jeff have a really nice pond behind their house. Next time we may try the dock out.

This Week In Review

It has been a crazy busy week.
The girls & I made a daily trip to Princeton for VBS at St. Joe. I helped out with the kindergarten class. We all had a great time.

VBS at St. Joe.

I recently tried a new cookie. I found the recipe and made them. They are called Peanut butter no bakes. And they are sooo yummy!

I have also been busy baking a wedding cake. So while the oven was on I made home made granola bars. My hubby loves them.

And finally here is the wedding cake. It was a billiards themed reception. They did a great job setting up the hall. As I decorated these cakes I wondered what the guests would look like after eating some of the black cake! Not great I bet!

Anyway, that has been our week. Oh, one afternoon I took them to the city pool. They loved it, momma did not! :) The water was freezing. But as long as the girls liked it then mommas happy. And one other day Hallie was here for a few hours. All three of them swam for a while and then played house. They play so well together. I even heard Hallie telling the girls that they were "her bestest friends in the whole wide world". So sweet.

Pool Party

Daddy's version of a pool party!

Bag Ladies, Beauties & Makeovers

Bag ladies! Don't ya love the newest style!

Ready for Church in their "bootiful dresses"

Molly asked for "pew-fume" before church! Because she wanted "to smell good".

This one bats her eyes when you tell her she's pretty!

"Mom can I have some lick-lish"?

Asleep at 7PM!

This is how I found Lindy!

Molly & Lindy insisted that I needed a makeover! Well, yes I do but.....

I don't think this is it! I sorta look like I'm ready for a Red Hat Club meeting!
Oh, they were so proud of the job they did!

Then they did each other.

Hayden's Walk

Hayden's Walk was a huge success! The weather was great and lots of people turned out to support the fund raiser. It was last Saturday morning. The girls were sponsored by several friends and family. Each turned in almost $300 each.

Here are the 4 little bike riders for the event.
McKayla, Lindy, Molly & Hallie
This is my niece Kate (Hayden's mom)

This picture was actually taken when they returned to the shelter house. They rode 2 of the 3 miles! After the walk the girls let their balloons float to heaven.

The bike riders took off nearly last.
I believe there were nearly 100 entries! Great support, considering how quickly it was arranged. The donations are still coming in, but nearly $6000 is the latest count! We are so pleased and are already thinking about next years Walk for Hayden.

Thanks to everyone who made a difference for
SIDS reacearch.
May God bless you always!

Washing The Ride

Washing the Jeep

They had the radio blaring while they washed.

Spic & span!

Lindy started spraying herself!

While they washed their jeep I got their new pool aired up. They had to jump right in! I believe their Aunt Donna bought this pool a few years ago. They love it!

Thankful Thursday

Guide me in your truth and teach me.
Psalm 25:5
Believe it or not, I am thankful for my busy life. Most night I am so tired, but can't seem to get from the couch to my comfy bed. But, I love my life. Being at home with these little girls is the best gift ever!
I am thankful for the summer activities my kids are dong this year. I am grateful to all the area churches who sponsor VBS for the kids. It is a wonderful way to learn more about the Lord on their level. This is particularly good for Molly & Lindy, who refuse to go to "children's church" on Sundays.
And finally I can be thankful for air conditioning! We made it until June 7th! Yeah!
And this week I want to mention that I am thankful for all of my adoption group buddies and friends who have adopted too. I am so lucky to have such support from them. I'm especially grateful that my girls get to have friends who are like them on many levels. It is my prayer that they will always be buddies and able to stay close as they grow old.

PCC Sportscamp 2009

Last Sunday the girls began their second Vacation Bible School this summer. The Parkview Christian Church in town has a sports themed VBS each year. The girls went last year and did cheerleading. This year I let them pick and they chose soccer. They were both very excited about it. I had to get them each a ball and soccer socks. I had bought shin guards last year sometime.

So on Sunday they were eager to get the equipment on and get going. It was funny. I explained what the shin guards were for. They thought this was funny. After I got the guards on, they ran to their dad saying... "dad, hit me (pointing to their legs and after he did).... ha ha, didn't hurt!"

I stuck around at the church most of the week. Mostly visiting with friends. On Tuesday I took my camera out to the field to get some photos. Humm... my camera wouldn't work. I mean it was dead! Then I remembered that it fell off the desk at home a few days ago. Oh boy!

So, I called my mom and asked if I could borrow the camera they had. I'm planning to get a new one in a few weeks. So, thanks mom & dad for letting me use the camera. I was having withdrawal symptoms from not taking pictures of my cuties!

So, on the final day I was able to get some pictures of the girls in action.

They seemed to like soccer.

It was fun watching all the little ones. There was over 200 kids registered for the sports came this year.

Now a few days to rest before the next VBS. Next week we go to St. Joe everyday. I am helping with the crafts! (I'm tired already)
